WHY COLOURED DIAMONDS?

...Offer long term capital growth, wealth preservation, a hedge against inflation, estate planning benefits and remain one of the world’s most unique, tangible assets.

...Have weathered 3 recessions in roughly 30 years and have held their value during that period.

...Have a solid history of steady appreciation and they are expected to continue increasing in value over time.

...Are a completely private asset class so there is no public record available in cases of civil action, divorce, lawsuits, etc.

...Over the past 30 years the price of coloured diamonds have consistently doubled in value at the dealer level every 5-7 years.

...Are the perfect model of supply and demand. Some of the largest mines in the world are petering out and closing. DeBeers closed 3 mines in 2006 and Rio Tinto’s Argyle mine, which produces 90 - 95% of the world's pink diamonds is said to be finished producing bey 2018 - 2020. Once their production of pink diamonds ceases, supplies should dry right up. Demands increase every year and supplies are dwindling, making this a commodity that screams appreciation.

...Compared to gold, silver and real estate, can easily be taken anywhere in the world and sold.

In a 2012 survey, married men were asked, “Would you sell your wife’s engagement ring today for what you originally paid?”
94% responded, “No” and explained they knew the diamond was worth more than when they first bought it.

"Diamonds have been a pretty good investment, but only coloured diamonds. If you want great returns on diamonds - you want coloured diamonds - yellow and pink diamonds. That's what's working these days."
